This offseason, there were a lot of changes to the Chicago Bears on defense, as they lost multiple players to free agency.
While it may have been by plan, the team lost five key players in the secondary and let go of linebacker Tremaine Edmunds. Four of those five secondary players were starters at one point last season, which really left a massive gap in the roster for the team to address.
One of those starters in particular, safety Jaquan Brisker, seems to miss being in Chicago. Brisker took to his Instagram to share a short video and message to the Bears fan base.

It's hard not to feel sentimental about Brisker since he started his career as a second-round pick of the Bears back in the 2022 NFL Draft. He was a four-year starter for the Bears and started at least 15 games in three of those years. The one year he didn't, he suffered a concussion that cost him 12 games.
In 52 career games, Brisker racked up 342 tackles, 41 pass deflections, 12 tackles for loss, 11 quarterback hits, seven sacks, four interceptions, four forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.
Brisker will be remembered more for the hard hits he laid into offensive players throughout his four seasons in Chicago. He struggled over the last two years in coverage, allowing a 75% completion percentage in each of those two seasons.
The Bears elected to pass on re-signing him and fellow starting safety Kevin Byard in the offseason. Brisker signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers to become their new starting safety.
Chicago went with signing former Seattle Seahawks Super Bowl champion Coby Bryant and drafting Dillon Thieneman in the first round. The Bears were focused on getting younger at safety and bringing in guys who were more consistent in coverage skills.
Bears fans will remember Brisker for being a good player. While he never broke out the way fans wanted him to, he was still a key figure on the roster to get the franchise where they needed to be over the last few years.

The Steelers will enjoy having Brisker on the team, and he should contribute for them in 2026. It was tough to let him walk, but the Bears' safety position is in a better place now.
