While there are plenty of people in the media who are big fans of the Chicago Bears entering the 2026 season, not everyone is a believer.
The Bears went on an incredible run last year, winning the NFC North and beating the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card Round. Chicago still faced some criticism for how the defense played and the inaccuracies of quarterback Caleb Williams.
This has led one NFL analyst to be more negative about the Bears than anyone else. His latest opinion shows that there is something more to the story than not believing in the team this season.
NFL analyst shares his thoughts on Bears compared to the rest of the division
FOX NFL analyst and podcast host Mark Schlereth spoke on his podcast "The Stinkin Truth Podcast" to share his thoughts on who in the NFC North can make a run. While Schlereth is a believer in the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers, he was not a fan of the Bears.
Multiple times in the clip shared on X, when he was asked about the Bears making a run, he repeated "no." The way he said it made it seem like that was a weird thing to think that Chicago could actually do anything in 2026.
Schlereth has been highly critical of the Bears lately. When talking about Williams, saying that he's "not a good quarterback." After that comment, Schlereth had to go back and explain his thought process, but the damage was already done, as Williams took notice.
The Bears have a lot of people believing in him because of Williams' potential and what head coach Ben Johnson has done with the franchise over the last year. NFL players made their feelings known about Williams, ranking him as the 51st-best player in the league.

Schlereth's opinion is not going to stop others from believing in the Bears, as the facts are that this is a good football team. He can feel however he wants to, but this Chicago team is ready to go on another run.
