Chicago Bears fans live for the Green Bay Packers' misery. It's a way of life.

So, when Colston Loveland dropped the intel this week that they think about the Packers every day, that should come as no surprise. We already dove into that. It is a rivalry. That's to be expected.

But what makes the misery even better is when the fans and media start publicizing it. And that's exactly why we're here. ESPN Madison's Jim Rutledge responded to an ESPN Milwaukee host who said the Bears are obsessed with the Packers, and the Wisconsin radio host told it just like it is.

"Yeah, the Packers used to matter. They used to be the kings of the North. They used to be the team you had to beat to be able to win the North, and that's not the case anymore.

"The argument of 'the Packers are rent-free in the Bears' head' doesn't hold any water when the Bears have beat your a** three out of four times ... You were in the Bears' head because you used to be dominant! That's not the case anymore."

Bears fans couldn't agree more with this pro-Packers radio host about who the real kings are

The Packers used to matter.

Boy, you have to love those words if you're a Bears fan. Who would've ever thought you'd hear a very pro-Packers media voice say something like that?

We've heard plenty of Bears radio hosts and media personalities talk the team down over the years. Again, that had also become the norm.

But to hear the oh-so-mighty Packers fan base or media offer such a sentiment?

That's music to my ears, folks. And I have a feeling it's the same for you, too.

Rutledge is right on par, here. The Packers were the team to beat. They were the standard. But, not anymore.

When the Packers lose three out of four to the Bears, and in the fashion a couple of those games have unfolded in, they are no longer the standard. It isn't logical. It doesn't make sense.

What does make sense, however, is calling the Bears the standard now. How are they not?

Hey, league experts, executives, and coaches all voted Caleb Williams as a top-10 quarterback in the league just a few days ago and left one Jordan Love off said list.

Matt LaFleur and the Packers haven't won a playoff game in two seasons. It took Ben Johnson one season to win one -- over LaFleur and the Packers, no less.

If we are talking about who the standard is, right now, it's the Bears.

Can we just relish in those words one more time, please?

"When the Bears have beat your a** three out of four times ..."
