Unfortunately for Chicago Bears fans, they are not going to get the revenge game they hoped for.
NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported that Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will not be playing against the Bears in Week 12. Mason Rudolph will be getting the start with Will Howard backing him up.
Rodgers injured his wrist in Week 11 against the Cincinnati Bengals and left the game early. He missed part of the practices this week and was listed as questionable for the game.
Bears fans won't get one last shot at Rodgers
Over the last two decades, Rodgers has haunted Bears fans while playing for the Green Bay Packers. He went 24-5 in the regular season against Chicago and won the NFC Championship game against the Bears in their only matchup in the postseason.
This is a massive disappointment for Chicago, as they wanted one more chance to beat the guy who has "owned" the team for a long time. There is a strong chance Rodgers retires at the end of the season, so unless both teams make the Super Bowl, this might be it for Rodgers in Chicago.
It's not great for the Bears because everyone who covers the league doesn't believe in Chicago, since all seven of their regular-season wins are against teams with losing records. Some are going to put an asterisk on this potential win for the Bears because the Steelers were not 100% healthy for the game.

The Bears can't do anything about it now as the focus shifts to just winning this game and getting to 8-3. They need a win to carry some momentum into the Philadelphia Eagles Black Friday showdown on a short week in Week 13.
