The Chicago Bears entered Week 16 with some stress as to whether their quarterback, Caleb Williams, was going to have two of his top three wide receivers for the biggest game of the season against the Green Bay Packers.
Williams' top target, Rome Odunze, has been dealing with a foot injury that has kept him out of the last two games. Bears head coach Ben Johnson has emphasized that they are going to be cautious with Odunze and make sure he doesn't rush himself back onto the field too soon.
Many were worried about Odunze's status since he was not practicing throughout the week. What would his fate be for Week 16?
Will Odunze play against the Green Bay Packers in Week 16?
The final Bears Week 16 injury report indicates that Odunze will not be playing, as he was ruled out with a foot injury. Odunze's teammate and fellow wide receiver, Luther Burden III, was also ruled out after not practicing at all this week.
Chicago's top wide receiver hasn't stepped on the field since the Black Friday game against the Philadelphia Eagles, in which he played the whole game. For the season, Odunze has caught 44 passes for 661 yards and six touchdowns in 12 games.
Before missing the last two games, Odunze had never missed a game in his young NFL career. He is now set to miss his third straight matchup. Chicago has gone 1-1 in his absence, including one loss to the same Packers team.
Replacing Odunze and Burden will be undrafted rookie Jahdae Walker and return specialist Devin Duvernay. Walker was a star in the preseason with two game-winning fourth-quarter touchdowns, and Duvernay has been rocking it on special teams, including his spectacular return in the second Minnesota Vikings game to set up the game-winning field goal by Cairo Santos.

Chicago's passing game will be interesting to see how it looks without Odunze and Burden in the lineup together, but what everyone knows about this Bears team this season: they always find the next man up to step up.
