Congrats to the Philadelphia Eagles as they dominated the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl on Sunday night. With the Eagles laying claim to being Super Bowl champions, the NFL offseason is now officially upon us.

Of course, even before the Super Bowl concluded, the offseason rumors ignited. Last week saw several star players hit the trade market with superstar pass-rusher Myles Garrett requesting a trade from the Cleveland Browns, and the Los Angeles Rams making it known that veteran wide receiver Cooper Kupp will be moved.

The rumored trades of Garrett and Kupp was only the appetizer for an even more newsworthy day during the hours before the Super Bowl on Sunday. NFL Network insiders Tom Peliserro and Ian Rapoport reported that the Dallas Cowboys have held some internal conversations about the idea of trading Micah Parsons.

Naturally, given the past flirtations the Bears fans have had with the idea of the team trading for Parsons, they jumped at this opportunity to point the star pass-rusher in the direction of Chicago. Fans weren't the only ones getting in on the speculation. Bears' safety Jaquan Brisker also made his case on social media.

Jaquan Brisker starts recruiting Micah Parsons to the Chicago Bears.

Given the contract extensions with Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb last season, there is an expectation that the Cowboys may reach a point where they consider a trade of Parsons. Parsons is due for a new contract, one that may be difficult for the Cowboys to afford, given the money spent on Prescott and Lamb.

While it remains possible that Parsons will be moved this offseason, it seems unlikely that the Bears will be the team making that trade. The Eagles' victory over the Chiefs on Sunday night should prove to the Bears' front office that they must address their weaknesses along the trenches. The ability to address the offensive line and defensive tackle positions will come through the Bears using their draft capital—draft capital that shouldn't be spent in a trade for Parsons.
