Justin Jefferson offered words of encouragement to Caleb Williams after Bears loss

The Vikings veteran WR wanted to give Williams his flowers following the loss.

Chicago Bears fans hate that Justin Jefferson is in the NFC North and that he'll be here to stay for another four years. That being said, Jefferson did something pretty cool after the Bears' loss to Jefferson's Minnesota Vikings.

The veteran wide receiver pulled Williams aside after the 30-12 drubbing the Bears took against the Vikings on Monday Night Football and complimented Williams. What did Jefferson say to the rookie quarterback in that moment?

Jefferson kept it simple while still getting his message across. "Good luck to you, dog. You're a killer, boy! Do your thing boy, God bless you."

Justin Jefferson gives encouraging pep talk to Caleb Williams

This has not been the season that Bears fans were hoping for especially after the team received a ton of hype in the offseason. It looked like it might be trending in the right direction when the team got off to a 4-2 start but it was all downhill from there. Chicago has dropped eight straight games and the season that once appeared to be bright is now as dull as can be.

The good news is that Williams hasn't been awful. The offensive line has done him little favors, as he's constantly getting pressured. Even with that being the case, the first overall pick has thrown zero interceptions during the eight-game losing streak so the losing can't be blamed entirely on him.

More Bears news:

Williams threw for 191 yards and a touchdown in the double-digit loss and was sacked twice. Jefferson, on the other hand, had seven catches for 73 yards and found the end zone once. The Vikings now have the same record as the Lions and with Detroit's defensive woes (which Williams and the Bears can hopefully take advantage of next week), it wouldn't be crazy to see Minnesota pass the Lions and win the NFC North.

For now, however, Bears fans can still dislike Jefferson but it was cool to see him give a pep talk to a division rival's quarterback. He's clearly seen potential in Williams from the two games he's played against the Bears this year and that's promising.
