Entering the postseason, despite having a two-game losing streak going, the Chicago Bears have a certain confidence in themselves that has not been seen in the team in a long time.
From the defense being the best at taking the ball away to the offense being ranked in the top 10 in total yards, this roster has talent unlike any Bears team has seen. That's what makes Bears safety Kevin Byard's recent comments about his confidence in the team so telling.
“I believe in us just because of what we’ve done all year," Byard said via 670 The Score's Chris Emma. "At the end of the day there’s always things that we can fix, but it’s the same thing for every team. I don’t believe there’s a team in this league, especially in the NFC, that’s unbeatable. Like, every team can be beat.
So, I’m excited to see how this game goes. We’re super excited, and my energy level is super high. I’m excited for this opportunity.”
Should Bears fans have that same confidence the team does?
It's hard not get excited about this Bears team with the season they have had. There are some lingering concerns with both sides of the ball after an up-and-down December.
The biggest issues with the team right now are that the defense is allowing too many big plays and lacks a consistent pass rush to rely on. As for the offense, they have gotten off to slow starts in games.
This Bears team has it all, though, from an NFL-leading 33 turnovers created to an explosive offense with a quarterback in Caleb Williams that can make any throw on the field. It also helps to have a top-five rushing attack led by D'Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai, who combined for 1,870 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Everyone can see why Byard is so excited to see this Bears team take the field, as this might be the most complete roster they have had in a while. This is a team that can make a legitimate run to the postseason.
