At one point in the Chicago Bears and Cincinnati Bengals game, the Bears were up 41-27 with under two minutes to go in the game, but the nightmare scenario came for Chicago.
The Bengals scored a touchdown and made the two-point conversion, changing the score to 41-35. Cincinnati made the onside kick and drove right down the field to score another touchdown, making it 42-41, with the Bengals leading with 54 seconds left in the game.
Chicago would do the unthinkable, and Caleb Williams connected with rookie tight end Colston Loveland for a game-winning 58-yard touchdown with 17 seconds left to give the Bears a 47-42 win over the Bengals. After the game, Bears safety Kevin Byard shared his thoughts on his mindset after the final touchdown and his reaction to the Loveland touchdown.
"Truth be told, I mean just being honest man, I had really bad body language on the sidelines. We gave them the touchdown and I was just super frustrated. Just because as a defense, we want to be able to finish those games. But I had to gather myself again when he scored, celebrating a little bit. Incredible moment for him. Obviously was his first breakout game with two touchdowns. He got the game ball at the end of the game. Super proud of the group."
Byard was every Bears fans in that game
Simply put, it was a bad day for the Bears' secondary. Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco had a field day with a career-high 470 yards and four touchdowns.
The only positive aspect for the Bears' defense was the three turnovers they created. Chicago was able to pick off Flacco twice, including one from Nahshon Wright and another from Tremaine Edmunds.
Byard had a solid game for the Bears, recording five tackles and one tackle for loss. It's understandable, though, to see where he was coming from after a wildly disappointing performance against a Bengals team that had a losing record and a banged-up backup quarterback in the game.

It wasn't the prettiest win, but the Bears fought back when they got knocked down and won the game. The Bears are now 5-3 and can put the ugly win behind them and focus on getting back on track for the rest of the season.
