The Chicago Bears suffered their fourth straight loss last Sunday, further accelerating their downward spiral that started following their Week 8 loss to the Washington Commanders.

The attention for the rest of this season should be focused on Caleb Williams's development. Williams was impressive against the Green Bay Packers this past Sunday but faces a daunting test this Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings and their defensive coordinator, Brian Flores.

Beyond Williams' development, Kevin Warren's influence on the Bears' football operation will need to be examined during the closing weeks of the season.

Between now and Week 18, Warren must be ready to answer if he is comfortable with the current operation under general manager Ryan Poles and head coach Matt Eberflus. Even if Poles is willing to fire Eberflus, the disappointing 2024 season has warmed the seat under the current Bears' general manager.

The 2024 season may force Kevin Warren to get involve with the Chicago Bears' football operation.

If Warren feels uncomfortable or has lost faith in Poles this season, then he should fire him. If Poles tries to make the case for Eberflus to return as the Bears' head coach, then Warren should be left with no other option but to fire the general manager.

Given the struggles that Warren has had in securing a new stadium for the Bears, it's possible his interference with the football operation will be done as a way to take the focus off the fact that there has yet to be any shovels in the ground for the new stadium.

Even though he has not been all that visible this season, all eyes will be on Kevin Warren's next move.
