He wants to get back out there.

Most Chicago Bears fans have been baffled about what is going on with starting nickel cornerback Kyler Gordon.

Back in training camp, Gordon got injured and missed about a week before coming back. He was practicing throughout the final week of camp and heading into the Bears' Week 1 showdown with the Minnesota Vikings. The Saturday before, however, Gordon appeared on the injury report as questionable due to a hamstring injury.

Since then, radio silence. No Gordon in sight.

Gordon would go on to miss the first three games of the regular season without being placed on IR or practicing. It was odd as Bears fans were trying to figure out what was going on and when he would return.

Once again, the randomness occurred earlier in the week when Gordon took to social media to post a loading bar on an image of him. It's the first sign of Gordon hinting at returning to the field.

Then Friday happens.

Gordon is ready to be back on the field, possibly against the Las Vegas Raiders

The Bears released their final injury report for their Week 4 matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders. All of a sudden, Gordon finally practiced for the first time since the Friday before Week 1. Now he is listed as questionable for the Raiders.

Things got even more interesting when the cornerback commented on his return. Once again, he's hinting for a return to the field as soon as possibly Sunday.

"Y'all about to see me out there," Gordon said via The Athletic's Dan Wiederer. "Obviously, this wasn't what you want. But it's part of football. I've tried to stay positive and thankful and just attack the rehab the same way I attack practice."

Nick McCloud has been filling in for the injured Gordon. While McCloud has been decent, Gordon is one of the team's best in pass coverage. He is desperately needed with Jaylon Johnson's status for 2025 unknown.

The signs are there for him to return, but one day of practice after missing three games doesn't necessarily indicate he will play. Bears fans won't know the true answer until Sunday.
