Well, if it couldn't get worse for the Chicago Bears on the injury front, it just did.
The team posted on social media Sunday that cornerback Kyler Gordon has been added to the injury report with a hamstring injury. Gordon's status for the Monday night football game against the Minnesota Vikings is now questionable.

This isn't a new injury for Gordon, as he was hurt early in training camp and missed most of it after sustaining an injury in practice. He had not been on the injury report this week until Sunday.
What does it mean for the Bears entering the Vikings game in the secondary?
The secondary in Chicago has already been taking its hits with injuries, as Jaylon Johnson and Josh Blackwell have been on the injury report all week. They were both listed as questionable as well. Johnson appears to be in line to play, but Blackwell's status is uncertain.
Chicago's defense already has at least one defender out for the game, with linebacker T.J. Edwards being listed as doubtful with his hamstring injury. The Bears will have to turn into Noah Sewell and rookie Ruben Hyppolite II at linebacker.
What about Gordon's injury? Who will step up in his place?
According to the Bears' unofficial depth chart, Nick McCloud would be the next man in line to replace Gordon. The nickel position would be a problem as both Gordon and Blackwell are banged up.
Training camp was marked by multiple injuries in the secondary, and that trend appears to be continuing into the regular season. Chicago has to find a way to work through it and have their depth step up.
