Just over one week remains until the 2025 NFL Draft and the Chicago Bears are spending the week concluding their pre-draft visits.
All pre-draft visits need to be done by Wednesday, and the Bears opened the week by hosting North Carolina's Omarion Hampton. Hampton hasn't been a popular selection for the Bears in recent mock drafts but if the team trades back from No. 10, the North Carolina running back could be in play.
Two other visits the Bears will be hosting this week are with prospects who have been heavily linked to the team.
As the #Bears' pre-draft visits wind down, Texas A&M edge Shemar Stewart is at Halas Hall today, and Iowa RB Kaleb Johnson will also visit this week.

The final day for visits is Wednesday.
Shemar Stewart is arguably the best edge rusher in the draft after Abdul Carter. However, given his limited sack totals at Texas A&M, many would point to him being more of a projection pick at No. 10 instead of being someone who can provide an immediate impact. However, if Matt Miller of ESPN is to be believed, Stewart could be the next Danielle Hunter. Even with that potential, the key word there is potential. If Stewart were to be the selection, the case could be made that the Bears should have traded back and selected an edge rusher later in the draft.
Kaleb Johnson is one of the reasons why the Bears should not feel obliged to take a running back in the first round. Hampton and Ashton Jeanty would be terrific additions to Ben Johnson's offense but so would Kaleb Johnson. Kaleb Johnson would also give the Bears an ideal complement for D'Andre Swift.
Swift's role in Ben Johnson's offense seems to be getting discarded by Bears fans. Just because Swift was traded by the Detroit Lions while Ben Johnson was on the rise to being the team's offensive coordinator, the veteran running back isn't tied to the same fate with the Bears. Especially if the Bears wait until Day 2 to address their running back need.
