Above Caleb Williams, the one Chicago Bears player who needed to have an impact game against the Carolina Panthers last Sunday was wide receiver DJ Moore.

Prior to the game against the Panthers, Moore had quickly become one of the more polarizing players on the Bears' roster. Moore was struggling to get on the same page with rookie quarterback Caleb Williams through the Bears' first four game. The connection issues between Williams and Moore led to fans analyzing every second of Moore's behavior on the sideline.

The baseless idea was that because Moore was an avid supporter of Justin Fields last season, he was already disgruntled because of the slow start from Williams and the team's offense. All of that nonsense was quickly thrown out this past Sunday when Moore and Williams connected for two touchdowns while the veteran wide receiver also had over 100 receiving yards.

Moore's performance against the Panthers had to feel good considering there is still animosity from current Carolina players because of the decision to trade the wide receiver to the Bears prior to the 2023 season.

DJ Moore loves tormenting his former team.

These comments from Moore are only more confirmation that Chicago is his home. In case the four-year contract extension he signed with the team prior to this season wasn't proof of that, Moore is exactly where he wants to be.

The Bears won't be done tormenting the Panthers after this season. From the same trade that the Bears acquired Moore from the Panthers, the Bears still hold the rights to Carolina's 2025 second-round pick. A second-round pick that may be the equivalent of a late first-round pick considering the Panthers are once again one of the NFL's worst teams this season.
