Latest Micah Parsons rumors threaten to kill the Bears’ good vibes

It makes perfect sense why the Chicago Bears fan base is feeling optimistic these days. They have a swanky new head coach who they're hoping can get the best out of second-year quarterback Caleb Williams and the vibes are overall pretty good as we inch closer to the start of the regular season.

Well, those good vibes took a hit on Monday when it was reported that if any team could pry Micah Parsons away from the Cowboys, it'd be the big, bad Green Bay Packers. While appearing on the Pat McAfee Show, Ian Rapoport said, "That’s the kind of team that I would say, if Micah was going to be traded, that he’d be going to.”

This is obviously annoying and frustrating for Bears fans to hear, even if nothing has actually happened yet. The Packers have constantly been a thorn in the Bears' side and this would only add to that.

Bears fans will be livid after Micah Parsons news swings momentum to Packers

Fortunately, nothing has happened yet. Until the Packers have Parsons in their facility and he's wearing green and gold on Sundays, the Bears don't have to worry about squaring off against him twice a year every year just yet.

If Parsons were to land in Green Bay, though, that'd be such a buzz kill in Chicago. Parsons has been in the NFL for four years and has had double-digit sacks in every season, with a career-high of 14 sacks just two years ago. If the Cowboys don't agree on a new contract with their star pass rusher, Bears fans had better hope like heck that the Packers don't swoop in with an offer to land the former first-rounder.

It's difficult enough trying to beat the Packers but if they added one of the best pass-rushers in the game, it'd be even more frustrating. Let's hope that Parsons either sticks in Dallas or if he is traded, it's to an AFC team (or, you know, Chicago would be pretty cool too).
