Not many Chicago Bears fans are feeling particularly significant after the team took a 19-16 loss to the Detroit Lions in Week 18. Still, it might end up being fuel for a massive Caleb Williams comeback.
Williams finished the game completing 20 of 33 passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns to one interception while adding just one rushing yard in the loss. After the game, the star quarterback might not have been happy with yet another loss, but he certainly has motivation to get better now for the playoffs.
“Use this frustration and find a way to get better," Williams said via 670 The Score's Chris Emma.
Caleb Williams is ready to be unleashed in the playoffs
The trend this year is that Williams is at his best when. People doubting him and using a loss to get back on his feet and play even better the following week.
It's been a much-improved season for Williams, who now owns the Bears franchise record for passing yards in a season and was 58 yards away from being the first 4,000-yard passer. He also hit a career-high in touchdowns with 30 total (27 passing and three rushing).
The accuracy continues to be the biggest issue for Williams as he only completed 58.1% of his passes for the season, but he still got better in other areas. How about only getting sacked 24 times and throwing seven interceptions in 17 games?
One trait that separates Williams from most quarterbacks in the NFL, though, is his ability to bring his team back into games. Six times this season, Williams led a game-winning drive, the most in the NFL. He almost did it against the Lions in Week 18 as he led a 16-point comeback in the fourth quarter to tie the game.

Things may not be perfect right now, but Williams is going to make sure he is ready for the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Wild Card and spark a run that Chicago will remember for a long time.
