What a moment it must have been for new Chicago Bears center Logan Jones to be selected as the 57th overall pick of the 2026 NFL Draft.
Jones saw his NFL career begin with a franchise that was in the playoffs last year, but he got a little bit more than that out of the pick. As part of the "Heinz 57" initiative at the draft, Jones will now receive a partnership with Heinz and a lifetime supply of ketchup. When asked about it in his media availability, Jones wasn't even aware that it was a thing and was excited about it.
"I love it! I'll take as much as I can get," Jones said via ESPN's Courtney Cronin. "Let’s go ketchup!"
Logan Jones is getting a lifetime supply of ketchup with his new job
The backstory of "Heinz 57" is that it has been the company's slogan for over a century, as seen on ketchup bottles. It was originally because Heinz had 57 different products, but they have since grown to well over that number.
Not a bad way to enter the NFL for Jones, as he is seen as the future center of the franchise while also getting some free ketchup. Most NFL Draft picks aren't getting that kind of deal, so he can't complain.
The center job is not his yet, though, as Garrett Bradbury is a short-term solution for the role following the stunning retirement of Drew Dalman. After Bradbury's contract ends in 2026, unless he has a Pro Bowl-caliber season, Jones should be the next man up for the job.

Jones's future looks bright as he is about to get a nice amount of money on his first NFL contract while never having to go without ketchup on his hamburgers again.
