This is one game Chicago Bears rookie second-round pick wide receiver Luther Burden isn't going to forget for a long, long time.
It had been a relatively quiet first two weeks for Burden as he hadn't been featured in the offense as much. Sunday's showdown with the Dallas Cowboys was a much different story as not only did Burden get more time on the field, but he made the explosive plays Bears fans have been waiting to see.
The one that everyone was talking about was the almost disastrous flea flicker that was handled perfectly by Bears quarterback Caleb Williams as he threw a deep ball down the field to Burden for his first catch of the game, but more importantly, his first career touchdown from 65 yards out. That would be the spark Burden needed for his big day with the Bears' offense.
In the third quarter, Burden caught another big pass play for 29 yards, which helped lead the Bears to a touchdown and put them up by two possessions. He finished the game with three receptions for a team-high 101 yards and one touchdown, while adding a seven-yard run to his day as the Bears beat the Cowboys 31-14.
How Burden reacted to his first career touchdown
After the game, Burden spoke with the media, where he was asked about how it felt to get his first career touchdown in the NFL. Burden couldn't contain himself from screaming at the top of his lungs.
“Man, it felt great to get to the end zone, man. I love the end zone. I LOVE IT! AHHHHHH!”

Chicago won't have long to celebrate, as they have to prepare for a cross-country road trip to Las Vegas to take on the Raiders. Bears fans will be eager to see what the encore performance will be for Burden.
