Everyone continues to share their opinions on Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams, and while some are not 100% sold on him, others love his play on the field.

Recently, FOX Sports host Colin Cowherd released his rankings of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, placing Williams third, based on momentum, age, and other factors. The crew at 104.3 The Score had ProFootballTalk's Mike Florio on to share his thoughts on Cowherd's ranking, and Florio actually disagreed, putting Williams at number two behind Josh Allen based on the criteria set for it.

"I think 3's fair. 3 is better than fair, ahead of Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow is pretty good and Patrick Mahomes where he is right now, I think he has to reestablish himself as number two. Look, Josh Allen is clearly the guy that everyone is scared to death of facing and Jackson is close to that. I would probably still put Lamar ahead of Caleb. I think this is the year that Caleb can make himself a clear-cut no-brainer top-5 guy."

Mike Florio thinks Caleb Williams is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL

Williams is coming off a really good 2025 campaign, where he threw for a franchise record 3,942 yards and scored 31 touchdowns while throwing just seven interceptions. While his completion percentage was at about 58%, it was everything else that had everyone excited for the future.

The kind of throws that Williams was making were not ones that many quarterbacks can make. He showed off how clutch he was in the biggest moments with an NFL record seven comebacks and game-winning drives.

There are other great quarterbacks in the NFL, such as Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, and Lamar Jackson. What separates Williams from them is his potential and skill set, which most of them don't currently have.

The 2026 season is a massive one for Williams as he has a chance to not only be considered a top-five quarterback but the best in the NFL.
