The rematch between the Chicago Bears and Washington Commanders is already considered to be one of the top games of the 2025 season, and it seems that the NFL is giving the game primetime treatment.

A schedule leak out of Washington suggests that the Bears will be returning to Washington to play the Commanders in a Week 6 game on Monday Night Football.

Ben Johnson will have an early chance to prove he is no Matt Eberflus

Of course, the Bears' Week 8 game against the Commanders last season changed the trajectory of their season. Entering the game with a record of 4-2, it seemed that the Bears and Caleb Williams were ready to go on a run toward reaching the playoffs. Instead, the Bears were dealt a devastating loss thanks to a Jayden Daniels Hail Mary. Of course, Matt Eberflus' preference to play prevent defense on the play before that only put a magnifying glass on his inability to handle moments late in games. There was also Tyrique Stevenson being engaged with fans as the Hail Mary was developing.

Lost in the chaos that was that game was that despite the coaching shortcomings, Williams placed the Bears in a position to win the game. Williams will forever be linked to Daniels, and in this primetime game, the Bears' quarterback will have the perfect opportunity to exact his revenge.

As leaks of the Bears' schedule continue to roll out, the Bears appear to be primetime darlings during the 2025 season. The number of primetime games the Bears have in 2025 is now up to four. Early in the season, the Bears have a Monday Night Football game against the Minnesota Vikings to open their season, and the Monday Night Football game against the Commanders in Week 6. During the second half of the season, the Bears have a Black Friday game against the Philadelphia Eagles and a December 20 game against the Green Bay Packers that will be a part of a FOX doubleheader.
