The start of the 2025 NFL Draft is two weeks from tonight, and there remain some questions about the direction the Bears will go when they are on the clock with the No. 10 selection.

Two recent national mock drafts have suggested that the Bears could look to trade up to a Top-5 selection in the draft and take Penn State's Abdul Carter. However, ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. has the Bears adding to Ben Johnson's offense with the selection of Carter's college teammate tight end Tyler Warren, with the No. 10 selection.

Given the moves that the Bears have made this offseason, the team is in a position to take the best player available when they are on the clock. It seems that the Bears may be hopeful that the player is Ashton Jeanty.

In his latest intel for ESPN, Matt Miller reports that the Bears "love" Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty. Jeanty is the unquestioned best running back in this year's draft class, but recent speculation has suggested that the Las Vegas Raiders may take him as high as No. 6. Miller also suggested that the Bears could package their two second-round picks in order to get back into the first round and select an edge rusher.

The Ashton Jeanty rumors won't stop for the Chicago Bears.

If the Bears truly are in love with Jeanty, they likely would need to get ahead of the Raiders at No. 6. The New England Patriots at No. 4 would be a logical trade partner for the Bears. However, at that point, you would have to question if the move up would be worth it. While not discrediting Jeanty's potential, the draft class is deep at the running back position. Potential Day 2 options such as Kaleb Johnson, TreVeyon Henderson, and Quinshon Judkins could be options for the Bears without the need to trade up in the first round.

Even if it's not Jeanty, it seems clear that the Bears will be adding a running back at some point during the 2025 NFL Draft.
