The NFL Combine is here, and the Chicago Bears will have their hands full evaluating numerous prospects who could be available with the 10th overall pick. The Bears are in search of an impact player who can contribute immediately.

The Bears have several options for this year's draft. They could focus on positions such as the defensive line, offensive line, or even a skill position. Therefore, they must do their homework over the next two months to ensure they make the right pick.

The running back position group is receiving a lot of attention in this draft class, and for good reason. This is considered one of the stronger running back classes in recent memory. Players such as Kaleb Johnson, Quinshon Judkins, Omarion Hampton, and Ashton Jeanty are all backs who could make an immediate impact on a team. Furthermore, these four players are just the beginning; there are many other running backs in this class who also have the potential to contribute significantly.

Running back shouldn't be the priority for the Chicago Bears in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Given these points, selecting a running back should not be a priority for the Chicago Bears at the No. 10 pick. This isn’t due to a lack of talent, as Ashton Jeanty is certainly capable of being drafted in the top 10. Jeanty has demonstrated that he is a highly capable player with significant potential. However, the Bears have too many other positions that need addressing to justify drafting a running back so early, especially the offensive line. Additionally, the depth of this running back class alone may lead the Bears to pass on Jeanty at the 10th pick.

Ryan Poles made it clear when he joined the Bears that his goal was to strengthen the team's trenches. While we haven't yet seen this vision translate into results on the field, it seems that this is his chance to find young talent for either the offensive or defensive line to reinforce the line.

Protecting the quarterback should be the top priority, along with pressuring the opposing team's quarterback. Finding a player to achieve this with the 10th pick could be the solution.
