One thing Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson has done a masterful job of doing is building a strong coaching staff around the players, and the head man had to take time to call one of those assistants out.

While speaking with the media, Johnson shared more about his assistant head coach and wide receivers coach, Antwaan Randle-El. What Randle-El is telling the team seems to be having an impact on the players.

"He is such an integral part to what we are doing. El talks to the team in the Friday team meeting. He's talking about you start with this hope going into the season. You start pulling away with some of these wins, and you start believing in what we are doing. And then you get the next step is knowing. Knowing what's going to happen next. I'm glad the guys have really resonated with what he has said."

Johnson better be careful with praising his coaches too much, or someone might come calling

Randle-El has done a great job this season working with the wide receivers on the Bears. Rome Odunze is taking massive strides in his development as he's on pace for over 1,000 yards and more than 10 touchdowns. DJ Moore continues to be the solid veteran number two target, but rookie Luther Burden is looking more and more like the next man up.

Week 10's win over the New York Giants was not as kind for Randle-El's unit, as they struggled with drops throughout the game. Olamide Zaccheaus was the worst offender of this with three drops, but overall has been a reliable receiver.

Randle-El has had a relatively rapid rise in his coaching career, which began with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2019 as an assistant coach. He quickly became the wide receiver coach for the Detroit Lions, with most of those years working under Johnson when he was the offensive coordinator.

There might be a chance that if Randle-El continues to stay on people's radars, he might be on his way to an offensive coordinator job in the near future.
