Packers tackle's failed comeback on Caleb Williams trash talk won't faze Bears

That's cute.

Friendly trash talk is always fun, especially when it is between two division rivals. The Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers have participated in that this offseason.

Bears quarterback Caleb Williams has expressed his feelings about Packers fans, stating that "they suck" and that he is 1-0 at Lambeau Field. Packers offensive tackle Rasheed Walker had a chance to respond to Williams' comments on NFL Network's "Good Morning Football," where he fired back at their lack of postseason appearances.

"Hey man, he got lucky. You know what I'm saying? Make the playoffs."

"They got lucky. Make the playoffs. We're going to see them again this year. We're going to remember he said that."

2024 showed Bears are ready to rewrite history in Packers rivalry

It's no secret that the Packers have had the Bears' number over the last decade-plus. Chicago has won five of their last 31 matchups against Green Bay since 2010.

Last season was different. In their first matchup, the Bears were a Cairo Santos missed field goal away from beating the Green Bay Packers as Chicago lost 20-19. The second time they faced each other, Santos got his redemption with a 51-yard field goal to sink the Packers 24-22.

Despite the chaos of last season and the challenges with the offensive line and coaching staff, the Bears were competitive against the Packers. Chicago honestly could have won both matchups against them.

Green Bay might have the postseason appearances over the Bears, but the tide is starting to turn in the NFC North. The Detroit Lions lost both their coordinators (with Ben Johnson now the head coach of the Bears), the Packers are weak in the secondary, and the Minnesota Vikings are rolling out a young quarterback who hasn't taken an NFL snap yet.

2025 feels like a different year. The Bears must capitalize on the weaknesses of each of their division rivals and overtake the NFC North. They have the weapons to get it done.
