The Chicago Bears are a team that all fantasy football analysts have their eyes on.

Ben Johnson has made a lot of fantasy players' money over the past couple of years with his usage, and everyone is wondering which Bears skill players will shine with Johnson. Pro Football Focus highlighted one fantasy football asset on the team and chose Colston Loveland

"Loveland’s 88.5 receiving grade over the past five seasons ranks eighth among Power Five tight ends, trailing only Brock Bowers, Dalton Kincaid, Charlie Kolar, Michael Mayer, Tyler Warren, Maliq Carr and Sam LaPorta. His lower rank is partly due to volume, as his 2.22 yards per route run ranks fourth, ahead of fellow potential first-rounder Tyler Warren. Now with the Chicago Bears under head coach Ben Johnson, Loveland will look to follow in LaPorta’s footsteps and emerge as an elite fantasy option as a rookie."

How Loveland in Johnson's offense can help him shine in 2025

There are some misses on the list, showing that receiving grade is not everything, but anytime a college prospect can post a stat similar to Brock Bowers, it's a good sign. The last sentence is essentially all you need to know, though.

Loveland is with Johnson, and after Johnson turned Sam LaPorta into a fantasy football superstar, everyone is wondering what he can do with a player who went in the top ten. Moreover, most coaches ease rookies into the tight end position, but Johnson has shown that he is not as concerned about that as previous coaches. So, it makes sense for Loveland to be the spotlight player.

However, the player to spotlight is D.J. Moore. Let's review what his career has been.

First, he was a solid WR2 in fantasy football for years despite never having a quarterback. Then, he broke out and became a legitimate threat as a top receiver with Justin Fields. Moore had to work with Caleb Williams as a rookie, following Shane Waldron's firing, and faced a complete change in his role, yet still posted 966 yards.

If 966 yards is his floor, the upside is immense in this offense. There are reports of him being used as a running back, and similar to Amon-Ra St. Brown, Ben Johnson may go out of his way to get the football in Moore’s hands and let him work with the ball. This is not even factoring in that Moore and Williams should be more on the same page, and Williams should be better overall.

Moore has the potential to get right back into the wide receiver one mix, if not higher, if things break right for him in this offense. He is the fantasy player to spotlight.
