The 2024 NFL Draft will be franchise-altering for the Chicago Bears. With the team recently moving on from quarterback Justin Fields, all indications are the team will use the number one pick on USC QB Caleb Williams.
However, the team has more needs than just at QB. With two top-ten picks, the team should be able to add two elite players. After picking at nine, the team picks again at No. 75 and again at No. 122. That's right, the Bears currently have just four picks and none after the fourth round.
Today, let's hop on the mock draft simulator over at Pro Football Network. I wanted to see what a realistic mock draft could look like for the Bears. There won't be any surprises at the top, but I did decide to move around a little bit.
Round 1, Pick 1: QB Caleb Williams
This is the least surprising pick of the draft. All indications are that the team is set to pick USC's Caleb Williams to be the new signal-caller. Williams is the most polished QB prospect in this draft and should be behind center in Chicago for the next decade at least.
Williams is a Heisman Trophy winner and has a touchdown-to-interception ratio of 46:1 in the red zone since the start of 2022. The QB threw for 3,633 yards in 2023 with 30 touchdowns and five interceptions. Williams has a quick release and improved on deep balls in 2023. With weapons like Keenan Allen, DJ Moore, and Cole Kmet, Williams should thrive immediately.
