Round 1, Pick 9: WR Rome Odunze

The Bears would be thrilled if Rome Odunze is available at pick nine. Depending on who you ask, Odunze is either the second or third-best WR in the 2024 NFL Draft.

The Bears added veteran receiver Keenan Allen this offseason, but Allen will be 32 when the 2024 season starts. The Bears can still use young talent at receiver, and Odunze has the potential to be an All-Pro-caliber player. Odunze had the highest total score of all receivers at the 2024 NFL Combine and was a major part of an elite Washington Huskies offense in 2023.

Odunze caught 92 passes for 1,640 yards and 13 TDs in 2023. The receiver has breakaway speed but also doesn't mind going up for a contested catch. Odunze seems to come down with any ball that is anywhere near his orbit. This is the exact type of weapon that a rookie QB needs on his team.
