The Chicago Bears have a much better roster than they have in previous years. With that in mind, there could be a few more surprise moves on the roster than in the past. There are always the training camp darlings and summer winners who end up making the roster and pushing others aside.

If things break right, the Bears could be releasing some notable names. Who could get cut from this training camp?

3. The Chicago Bears could cut Larry Borom

This is a small surprise because Larry Borom started so many games last season. However, because he started so many games last season, the Bears should want to make a move away from him. They already started that process.

The Bears signed Matt Pryor who can play guard and tackle. They also signed Jake Curhan who was a backup tackle with offensive coordinator Shane Waldron. The familiarity and recent acquisition give them a step up on Borom.

Then, the Bears drafted Kiran Amegadije in the third round of the 2024 NFL draft. That is essentially three players who would start over Borom, and that is just in case Braxton Jones or Darnell Wright got hurt. The team saw Borom last year and said they were done.

Do not be surprised if the room gets too crowded and the Bears let Borom try to catch on elsewhere. If teams were not so desperate for tackles there is a chance that Borom would circle back to the practice squad.
