5 things we must see from the Chicago Bears in Week 3
We need to see that continuity matters for the Chicago Bears
The Bears are unlikely to make any changes on the offensive line and that is the smart way to go about it. No one is saying that the line performed, but continuity is arguably the most important trait of any offensive line, and the Bears simply do not have that.
They have a new center who was in and out of practice this summer, mostly due to things out of his control. Nate Davis has been in and out because of things in his control. Either way, both have come out of the gates slowly, but that was an obvious expectation based on training camp. They have hardly practiced together. Now, they have not only been working together for a month, they have two full games together. The rust should be shaking off and the consistency should start to come.
As noted, this may also be the worst defensive line that the Bears have faced in three weeks. When you add that they are now getting used to each other, the excuses are starting to fade. Continuity matters, but we have to see a reason to buy into it at some point. This week should be the time to show us.
