Going into his rookie season, expectations should be tempered a bit for quarterback Caleb Williams. The Chicago Bears have found their franchise passer, and in all likelihood, a guy who will go on to break and set records for the organization.

But, we have to remember, he is only a rookie. He's going to have his ups and downs.

When it comes to a futuristic outlook, though, Williams could end up finding himself amongst the league's top quarterbacks in a matter of just a few years.

Now, if you were to ask some of the top fantasy football minds out there just where he could find his place, they'd tell you it isn't too far fetched to believe Williams already has a top-10 outlook.

One of the top fantasy football outlets in the nation, Fantasy Pros, released a consensus quarterback rankings for dynasty purposes. Williams checked in at no. 9 overall.

Yes, this might just be fantasy football we're talking about. However, many times, fantasy football does have a direct relation to how teams wind up competing, especially when it comes to the quarterback position.

Based on the above consensus rankings, the top five quarterbacks all belonged to teams which made the playoffs last year. The no. 6 dynasty quarterback, Joe Burrow, likely would have led the Bengals to a postseason berth had he been able to stay healthy.

Meanwhile, Anthony Richardson checked in at no. 7, and the Indianapolis Colts could have been a playoff team, but barely missed out. Richardson also missed a large chunk of the season due to injury.

The Bears finished the 2023 season with one of the league's top overall defenses, including no. 1 against the run. They now enter this year with more weapons on offense for Williams to use at his disposal. Thus, it isn't crazy to think we're looking at a playoff team in Chicago.

We could also be looking at a top-10 quarterback, in Williams, and not just in terms of fantasy football. After his rookie season, there is no reason why putting Williams inside the top 10 overall quarterbacks should be out of the question.

Believe the hype. It's happening, Bears fans.
