5 Chicago Bears who deserve Pro Bowl consideration
4. Montez Sweat turned the Chicago Bears defense around
Montez Sweat currently has 12.5 sacks this year. He was traded halfway through the season and currently leads both the Washington Commanders and the Chicago Bears in sacks. That stat alone feels like it is enough for Montez Sweat to get into the Pro Bowl. Seriously though, his name getting out there in that manner is going to do wonders with the fan vote, and he currently ranks sixth in his position. Myles Garrett and Maxx Crosby are ahead of him, and they are going to get all of the love.
Trey Hendrickson and Jonathan Greenard have more sacks than Montez Sweat, and they may get more votes as well. The one good thing with the Pro Bowl voting is that they put T.J. Watt, Micah Parsons, and some other as edge rushers as outside linebackers, which gives plenty of rushers like Sweat a chance to make it.
There is a good chance that Sweat finishes this season with Pro Bowl honors. He has transformed the Bears defense and deserves the praise.
