As the Chicago Bears are about to embark on a new chapter in their franchise, it's important to stay humble.

The Justin Fields' era for the Bears is over and will always be remembered as a time in which the team had untapped potential. Sure, the Bears were never legitimate playoff contenders in the three seasons that Fields was with the team but his athleticism always left fans wondering what could be.

That is a question that Bears fans have grown accustomed to asking. A social media post on Sunday reminded Bears fans of the last time they wondered what could have been.

In listing the most devastating moment for each team over the course of the past decade, it should be no surprise to see what Pick 6 selected for the Bears.

The Cody Parkey double-doink will always be a gut punch for Chicago Bears fans.

The 2018 season was special for Bears fans as it marked the first season since the early 2000s that the team was considered a threat to win the Super Bowl. Mitch Trubisky thrived in his second season while the Bears' defense created havoc with each play. It all came crashing down when kicker Cody Parkey missed a potential game-winning field goal against the Philadelphia Eagles on a kick that didn't hit the goalpost once but twice before it fell forward and broke the hearts of Bears' fans across the nation.

The only other moment that would rival the double doink would be Peyton Manning dissecting the Bears' defense during the second half of Super Bowl XLI.

For Ryan Poles, who admitted he is here to break the negative stigma surrounding the Bears, this rebuild has to be a success. Otherwise, if Caleb Williams is a bust, the Bears will have a new devastating moment that will trump anything else that happened in the past.
