Chicago Bears take two fliers in the seventh round to finish their draft

7th Round | 218th Pick | Mohamoud Diabate, LB - Utah

I have not watched any tape on Mohamoud Diabte. He did not stand out to me while watching film of Utah with Clark Phillips, III. I am taking some notes down from other analysts and will try to look into him more prior to the draft. For now, I look at a linebacker in the seventh round as a guy who can contribute on special teams. Should Ryan Poles want to go with a developmental quarterback late, here is where he could do it. Malik Cunningham is one guy I particuarly like late in these mock drafts.

7th Round | 259th Pick | Travis Dye, RB - USC

Even though he is the last pick in this mock draft, I have seen tape on Travis Dye. Dye had his most productive season in 2021 for the Oregon Ducks. He had 211 carries for 1,271 yards and 16 touchdowns. Dye transfered to USC for the 2022 season. He was just as efficient at USC despite seeing only 145 carries. Dye finished with 884 yards and nine touchdowns. He has a ton of miles on him over his five years of college ball. He's a solid pass-catching back, but he isn't a guy to count on. At best, he could push Trestan Ebner for a practice squad or backend of the roster spot.
