3. Yannick Ngakoue, DE
Finally, the Bears could still afford to add another pass rusher. They traded up in the draft to get Austin Booker, whom fans are expecting great things out of already. But, other than Booker, Montez Sweat and Demarcus Walker, Chicago doesn't have much to hang their hat on by way of pass rushers.
Very late last offseason, the Bears signed Yannick Ngakoue, giving them what they thought might be their much-needed pass rush help. Instead, Ngakoue somewhat faded to the background and wound up having the worst year of his career, posting just 4.0 sacks on the year.
With the Bears having beefed up the roster, as a whole, bringing Ngakoue back makes a lot of sense at this point. Giving them a rotation featuring Sweat, Walker, Booker and Ngakoue would be an upgrade from how they entered the 2023 season. That's a fact.
Ngakoue knows the defense. He knows much of the locker room. He'd be an easy one to re-sign and could come in and give this defense significant time from the jump.
