Chicago Bears preseason schedule 2024: Dates, opponents, and more
The 2024 NFL Schedule was officially released on Wednesday night, and the Chicago Bears are set to open the season against the Tennessee Titans at Soldier Field on September 8.
Of course, before that, preseason games will be played, and with the Bears set to play in the Hall of Fame game against the Houston Texans, they will have four preseason games this summer to prepare for the regular season.
If there were a preseason for the Bears to play four games instead of the normal three, it would be this summer, when not only is the team installing a new offense under offensive coordinator Shane Waldron but also has a rookie quarterback in Caleb Williams, along with new offensive playmakers in wide receivers Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze and running back D'Andre Swift.
Chicago Bears preseason schedule 2024
- Week 1 - Houston Texans, Hall of Fame Game, August 1
There undoubtedly will be excitement for this game as the NFL world gathers in Canton for Hall of Fame weekend. Williams likely will make a start but don't expect much in terms of an actual game plan, considering the two teams will play each other in Week 2 of the regular season on Sunday Night Football.
- Week 2 - @ Buffalo Bills, August 10
It would not be a Bears' preseason without a game against the Bills. This could serve as a revenge game of sorts for former Bears' quarterback Mitch Trubisky, who likely will get an extended run of playing time in this one.
- Week 3 - Cincinnati Bengals, August 17
This has the potential to be the dress rehearsal for the regular season, expect extended playing time for Williams and the Bears' starters.
- Week 4 - @ Kansas City Chiefs, August 22
The Matt Nagy bowl as the former Bears' head coach will once again see his former team in a game that will feature depth players.
