1. This year comes down to Justin Fields for the Chicago Bears

There is nobody under more pressure than Justin Fields in 2023. That is for the Chicago Bears, but also across the NFL, there will be few names with more heat on them. You can make the argument either way. Fields has the talent and has played well in spurts, he also struggles with reads, and his stats are not up to par.

This is a huge year because the Chicago Bears willl have to decide on his fifth-year option. Essentially, if they pick up his fifth-year option they are at least interested in signing a serious, long-term extension with Fields. If they declie that option, they are countng down until he is out of here.

The difference will come this year. The room is not perfect around him, but it is leaps and bounds better than it was. It was at least enough of an upgrade this offseason that we will know for sure what Justin Fields is this season. The excuses are gone for him.

This will be the development to follow, and we will see how well Fields can deal with that type of prressure.
