The 2023 season has not started in a way the Chicago Bears and their fan base would have preferred. Without a win for almost a calendar year, now, the Bears look even worse than they did last season.

General manager Ryan Poles has his work cut out for him if he's going to keep his job past the 2024 season, now, and he could be looking ahead at more of a full rebuild.

If that's the case, then let's take a look at five players Poles and the Bears could look at moving, ignoring some pieces the Bears recently added and want to be around for the long haul.

5. Cody Whitehair, G/C

First of all, the Bears' offensive line is essentially non-existent. They have two of their best players on injured reserve in Teven Jenkins and Braxton Jones, who are also building blocks for the future. Their best healthy lineman, right now, is Cody Whitehair.

Whitehair has been a staple for the Bears up front, for a few years now, and his time could be coming to an end with an organization that's looking to continue to get younger and build for the future. His versatility could be appealing to other clubs looking for either guard or center help.

Whitehair's contract runs through the 2024 season, so a prospective team would have another year in addition to this season. At 31 years old, Whitehair probalby has a couple of decent seasons left. But, Chicago needs to look toward the future at this stage, and Whitehair could potentially fetch an early Day 3 pick, which would be worth it for a team going no where.
