If you are on social media, then you know how poorly Ryan Poles is being viewed by many right now. The thing is, I am not ready to put blame on him. General managers never bat 1.000. I'm not going to sit here and tell you that Poles hasn't made mistakes along the way. Let's look at the bad before we take a peek at the good. The Chicago Bears general manager has seen enough of both — yet shouldn't be on the hot seat despite the team being 3-17 while he's been in charge.

In 2022, the Chicago Bears set out on a journey to rebuild this team in a way that should hopefully be sustained for a very long time. To do this, an organization must build through the draft before focusing on free agency and trades. Ryan Poles has told us multiple times how he plans to build through the draft, yet fans seem to be impatient. He told us from day one it was going to be a slow process. He told us before the season started that the team was only about 70% complete. Unfortunately, his early returns last season and to start this season do not look good.

Are you ready for the Chicago Bears to fire Ryan Poles?

It is rare for a general manager to fired after only two seasons. Fans are calling for the removal of coaches. Some want to see Luke Getsy gone. Others want to see the whole staff removed. Honestly, I'm close to that point. I'd be fine with Luke Getsy being removed as offensive coordinator immediately. If the Chicago Bears lose the next two games, then I'm going to be calling for the removal of Matt Eberflus as well. I'm not sure we can put the blame on Poles here though as he was given a short list of coaches who weren't even in my top five. Typical Bears doings.

Let's take a look at what moves Poles has made over the last two years and give some confidence scores.
