Chicago Bears Roster: Ranking the top 5 players under the age of 25

Chicago Bears Roster: Honorable mentions
Before we get into the list, it’s important to note how many players just missed the cut. For example, guard Teven Jenkins would easily carve out a spot had he not turned 25 back in March.
Similarly, newcomer Tremaine Edmunds and running back Khalil Herbert recently turned 25 making them ineligible. Darnell Mooney and Trevis Gipson are other players who are currently 25.
On the other side of the honorable mentions are players that are young enough to qualify but haven’t quite done enough to warrant a spot. Cornerback Kyler Gordon and offensive tackle Larry Borom are a couple of examples of this.
Tight end Cole Kmet is probably the most notable snub since he has been in the playing rotation for three years and led the team in receiving yards and touchdowns in 2022. While leaving Kmet off this list will be unpopular among fans, it’s worth pointing out how much of his production came on schemed-up targets that required very little from him.
Finally, the Chicago Bears had a strong draft class last month that featured five players selected in the top sixty-five picks. Since these players have yet to play a down of professional football, I decided it was easier to exclude them from this list.
