Chicago Bears Takeaway No. 1: Fields unfollowing Bears meant nothing, unfollowed NFL also

When prompted by the St. Brown brothers about his unfollowing of the Chicago Bears on social media, Fields had to suppress his laughter.

“Why do people take social media so seriously? Just because I unfollow, like, I still mess with the Bears," Fields said. "I’m just trying to take a little break. I unfollowed the Bears and the NFL. I’m just not trying to have football on my timeline."

With the demeanor Fields responded in, it was obvious Fields found the whole stir up a bit ridiculous.

But when all of this drama is about him and his career, it's probably hard for him to see that stuff daily. Considering Fields' work ethic and mentality, he just wants to be a great NFL player. He's not about all the social media stuff, and he cleared the air on his devious unfollowing of the Chicago Bears.

His unfollowing the team also did not influence his opinion of the team. He still likes the Chicago Bears, it's just not something he wants to see every time he opens social media.

It's hard to blame him for that.
