Thought No.4-The preview of the Bears vs. Las Vegas Raiders

The Chicago Bears welcome the Las Vegas Raiders minus their quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who is out with an injury. So they are turning to 38-year-old Brian Hoyer this week. Hoyer versus Bagent. What a compelling match-up, huh?

They still have wide receiver Davante Adams who has owned the Bears since his days with the Green Bay Packers, and edge rusher Maxx Crosby is a relentless player, who can cause havoc and must be accounted for every down.

And the Bears offensive line is in such a mess, this is what their starting lineup looks like on Sunday.

Believe it or not, this is the 30th different offensive line combination under Matt Eberflus. Think about that. How do you expect to develop any sort of offensive consistency when your offensive line is always struggling because of injuries? Maxx Crosby must be licking his chops as he is ready to tee off on a rookie quarterback who is making his first career start. And with Luke Getsy calling plays, can we really expect him to make adjustments to help out Bagent? Highly questionable.

And the secondary, which is supposedly the strength of the team, has been gashed by injuries and will be tested against Adams. Adams has been vocal about wanting to get the ball recently, and he might well get his wish against an opponent he has had success in the past.

Bagent will no doubt make the most of this opportunity, for better or worse. Unfortunately, his NFL debut will probably not be a memorable one.

Prediction: Raider 27-23
