Akeem Dent is a solid option in the 2024 NFL Draft

Akeem Dent had a solid career on some very good Florida State defenses. Over 48 games with the Seminoles, Dent racked up 187 tackles, five tackles for loss, one sack, and one interception.

The Bears have two first-round picks, but there are many more pressing needs than safety. The Bears currently don't have a second-round selection, but they do have a third. Dent is expected to go anywhere from the second to the fourth round. If Dent is available when the Bears pick in the third, they could do worse than the high-upside DB from Florida State.

Dent has great size for a safety and even has some corner experience. Dent represents a low-cost, high-reward option for a Bears team that is seeking to get younger and more dynamic on defense.
