Since Day 1, Chicago Bears fans have not been able to get enough of rookie quarterback Caleb Williams.

And, those select fans who were hesitant or not yet believers have likely changed their tune by now. Williams looks the part. His preseason performance looked nothing like your typical exhibition play. Bears fans have a reason to be genuinely excited about the future of this franchise.

But, beyond the play, Williams' attitude, mentality and personality have all impressed. For all of the pre-draft flack he took on, none of it has ended up ringing true. In fact, quite the opposite has happened. Time and time again, we've seen examples of Williams' true character shining through, and it has gone on to prove every negative narrative to be false.

Once again, this week, we're seeing that type of example from Williams, as he spent a long while with Waddle and Silvy. During the interview, Williams was presented with an intriguing question.

The rookie passer was asked what he would do if his very first regular season touchdown pass went to fellow rookie Rome Odunze. Who gets to keep the ball? After all, that ball is going down in history. It's a special football. But only one person gets to keep it. His response was simple, yet powerful.

"Rome," Williams answered.

As one Bears fan expressed, this is what servant leadership looks like. For all the professional athletes and superstars we see today, there are varying personalities among them. Williams just so happens to fall into the category of "humble leader."

He's not the type who is in it for the fame and attention. Williams simply wants to be great, and he desires for his teammates to share in that experience, equally.

Caleb Williams and Rome Odunze's relationship could help them into the NFL history books

It's not every day that you have a pair of rookie first-round picks who also happen to be quarterback and wide receiver. But, that's where Williams and Odunze stand; in rare air.

A couple of the more notable and recent rookie quarterback and wide receiver duos include Andrew Luck and T.Y. Hilton along with Andy Dalton and A.J. Green. Of those two duos, Luck was the better quarterback but Green the better receiver.

The Bears have a pairing that could go down as the best to ever do it.

Williams and Odunze have shared a special bond going back even before the draft. They seemed to know it was fate that they'd end up in Chicago, and thankfully they did.

For a quarterback that's obsessed with being the best, Williams is equally humble and kind. That type of mentality is going to serve he and his teammates well for years to come. Bears fans can rest in the fact that they not only, finally have a franchise quarterback, but that he's also a wonderful human being.
