Chicago Bears Week 17 Winner No. 2: DJ Moore

It has almost been impossible to find a word to convey not only how good DJ Moore has been for the Bears this year, but how great of a piece he was in the trade with the Panthers. Oh, and he is making barely over $20 million per year which is very team-friendly with the way the receiver market has been compensated recently.

Against the Cardinals last week DJ Moore was clearly not himself. He was banged up and just could not perform up to what he was capable of. He probably should not have been out there, and he ended up having his worst game as a Bear. He more than made up for it this week, as he cooked the talented Falcons secondary for 159 yards on nine catches and a touchdown. It moves him to 92 catches on the year for 1300 yards and eight touchdowns on the season, which are all career highs.

The Falcons had A.J. Terrell following Moore for most of the game. Terrell is having a fantastic season and has been a top cornerback in the league this season. He was no match for Moore, as he was able to convert nine receptions out of his thirteen targets. The connection of Fields to Moore has been elite all season, and it has resulted in almost a perfect passer rating.

Moore was brought in to elevate the offense and give Justin Fields a star wideout to throw to. I think he has exceeded expectations this season and the connection between the two is something that could prove to keep Fields around next season. That is how good they have been.
