The Chicago Bears' rookies from the 2025 draft class were about as special as they could have been, after a few made a huge impact on the roster.
On offense specifically, the Bears saw their top three picks and a seventh-round pick dominate. First-round pick tight end Colston Loveland became the team's leading receiver in 2025, while second-round pick wide receiver Luther Burden III was fourth on the team in receiving yards, but came about 100 yards behind Loveland for the team lead. That doesn't even include the work that second-round pick offensive lineman Ozzy Trapilo did at left tackle and seventh-round pick running back Kyle Monangai, who nearly rushed for 800 yards and five touchdowns for the team.
Bears wide receiver Rome Odunze appeared on the Yahoo Fantasy Forecast show, where he was asked about the three big-play making rookies on the team. Odunze had some high praise for Loveland, Monangai, and Burden.
“It was awesome, man. I mean to see their emergence throughout the season and their more prolific role within the offense as the season goes on. Just seeing their playmaking ability was dope, man.”
Rome Odunze praises young Bears rookies on offense
Loveland led the team with 713 receiving yards and six touchdowns on the season, with Burden right behind him as he finished fourth with 652 yards and two touchdowns. Monangai was behind D'Andre Swift in rushing as he had 783 yards and five touchdowns while adding another 164 yards receiving.
It was surprising for the Bears to have three great rookies emerge out of nowhere to become what seems like the future of the offense. Adding Trapilo in the conversation, along with second-year players in Odunze and quarterback Caleb Williams, Chicago has a scary future on offense for the NFL to deal with.
