Rome Odunze only needed 21 seconds to crush narrative on Bears beating bad teams

The Chicago Bears have no business apologizing for winning games, but it feels like the media wants them to do it.

Chicago has started the season 6-3 and has looked good doing it. They have had four games where quarterback Caleb Williams has had to lead game-winning drives to help the team.

One complaint about the team is that all six of their wins have been against teams that currently have a losing record. While speaking to the media, Bears wide receiver Rome Odunze defended his team for beating on "bad" teams.

"I don't really hear to that honestly. I don't think we have even thought about it at all. My opinion, you go win a football game in this league. It's a tough win. I can't hear of any players or coaches or anybody in the NFL that would say otherwise on that. Every win we get is earned. We got to go out there and do that week to week."

Bears shouldn't apologize for winning games

The golden rule in the NFL is to never apologize for any wins in the league. Just because there are "bad" teams in the league, it doesn't mean everyone isn't a professional and can win on any given Sunday.

Chicago has gotten the best out of the teams they have faced, and every time they have faced adversity, they have faced it head-on and won games. Some of those teams, such as the Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Bengals, and Washington Commanders, are better than their record suggests, but they faced injuries or issues that required them to work through.

The Bears still have a ton of teams with winning records to face the rest of the season. They still have to play the Pittsburgh Steelers, Philadelphia Eagles, Green Bay Packers, San Francisco 49ers, and Detroit Lions.
