There's been a lot of frustration surrounding the Chicago Bears' offense that has been brewing for a few weeks, but been masked by the wins, but the Baltimore Ravens did their best Fred from Scooby-Doo impersonation with taking it off in the 30-16 loss.
The common theme of the game was mistakes after mistakes being made by the Bears in general. They had 11 penalties for 79 yards and scored one touchdown on three trips to the red zone. Their offense had to settle for four field goal attempts (missing one in the process).
Quarterback Caleb Williams made the biggest mistake of the game with a fourth quarter interception deep in their own territory. The Ravens needed two plays to go nine yards for the touchdown as it went from a manageable 16-13 game to a near impossible 23-13 comeback attempt.
Chicago kept leaving points on the field that they could have scored, due to a lack of touchdowns and offensive efficiency. This is a problem that is going to start boiling over to the whole team.
What one of the Bears' stars had to say about the loss
Reporters spoke with Bears wide receiver Rome Odunze after the game to get his thoughts on the game and on the red zone and penalty issues. A visibly frustrated Odunze put it all on the table about what's going on.
“I think the majority is us shooting ourselves in the foot. Penalties, misalignments, missed execution on a play. I don't think there was ever an instance where we've not had a penalty or executed a play properly where we haven't scored touchdowns for ourselves, so we have to get back to that."
Odunze was one of the very few bright spots to the offense, catching seven passes for 114 yards in the win. Bears fans have been complaining about Odunze dropping the football, but that was really only evident in the New Orleans Saints game, as he was the one consistent player on the team in the Ravens' loss.

It's going to be a long, long week for the Bears as they figure out how to fix the mental mistakes and get more touchdowns on the board. Another week like this and it will be back to chaos within the organization.
