There is certainly no love lost between the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers entering the rubber match of the rivalry in the 2025 season.
The Bears and Packers enter the NFC Wild Card game on losing streaks and looking for any kind of momentum. Chicago has the advantage since it won the NFC North and is hosting the Packers at Soldier Field.
Green Bay's players, though, wanted this moment to come, to play the Bears in the playoffs, as several Packers players had their eyes set on getting revenge on Chicago.
“I didn’t want anybody but the Bears," Packers cornerback Keisean Nixon said via WFRV reporter Cameron Ezeir.
“We have a chance to end the Bears' season, that means a lot," Packers wide receiver Christian Watson said.
The Packers might regret making those comments
Green Bay had bragging rights the first time after picking off Bears quarterback Caleb Williams in the end zone with under 30 seconds left, beating Chicago 28-21 in Week 14. Chicago got their revenge dish best served cold with Williams connecting with DJ Moore on the game-winning touchdown in overtime to beat the Packers 22-16 back in Week 16.
This is a whole new story, though, as the two teams face off in the playoffs. Bears fans try to forget what happened the last time the Bears played the Packers in the postseason, when quarterback Aaron Rodgers did what he does best and broke the hearts of Chicago fans with a win in the NFC Championship game in 2010, leading to a Super Bowl title for Green Bay.
The Bears will make sure that history does not repeat itself as the team is solely focused on taking down Green Bay. As the message has been all season, this is not the old Bears team, as this is a new version that is resilient and finds ways to win games.

Chicago has shown that all year, and the Bears will make sure the Packers eat their words about wanting to play at Soldier Field again.
