The Chicago Bears went from dominating the Cincinnati Bengals to giving up the lead in the most embarrassing way possible, as two touchdowns in the span of one minute of game time led to Caleb Williams needing to put the team on his back and secure a comeback victory.
After two incomplete passes and a first-down completion got him to the 42-yard line with his team down 42-41 and staring a 4-4 record in the face, Williams managed to find rookie tight end Colston Loveland down the seam, and that is when all hell broke loose on the field.
Loveland rumbled 58 yards to the end zone for a game-winning touchdown, giving Chicago a 47-42 lead they would not relinquish for the remainder of the contest. Announcer Spero Dedes may have thought he was getting a fairly milquetoast game when he was handed this assignment, but his call helped turn it into solid gold.
Dedes, understandably, lost his mind when Loveland rumbled to the end zone. With Chicago looking unlikely to even get into field goal range, let alone get a game-winning touchdown added to their ledger, Dedes' enthusiasm and disbelief are warranted here.
CBS call of Colston Loveland's game-winning touchdown in Bears-Bengals is crazy
Loveland, who came into this game with just 11 catches and no touchdowns behind Cole Kmet, broke out with six catches, 118 yards, and two touchdowns. For just one week, those who would have preferred the Bears use that pick on Tyler Warren are not on firm grounds for argument.
Williams accounted for four touchdowns in this game, three of which came through the air and one of which was on the receiving end of a Philly Special trick play. Between passing, rushing, and receiving, Williams accounted for 355 total rushing yards on the afternoon.
The fact that the Bears were able to overcome the Bengals despite one of the most hideous choke jobs in recent NFL history and a defense that was unable to stop a 40-year-old immobile quarterback in Joe Flacco shows that even in adverse circumstances, Ben Johnson is capable of pulling out some victories.

This may be an early contender for the best game of the year, and the Bears have to love that two recent Top 10 picks hooked up for a game-winner in one of the most impressive days of Williams' pro career. A few more clutch moments like these, and look out.
