The 2025 Senior Bowl could be how the Chicago Bears address their biggest needs

You could find future Bear players at this year's Senior Bowl this Saturday.

Many football fans will be wondering what to watch this weekend, with Super Bowl LIX still more than a week away. If you are a Bears fan and have time this Saturday, you should definitely pay attention to 2025 Reese's Senior Bowl, airing at 2:30 PM EST/1:30 PM CST on the NFL Network.

At this point, every fan knows the Chicago Bears must do something about their offensive and defensive line. And that should be their main focus this off-season.

National Team features Mike Green, 2024 First Team All-American, who led the nation with 17 sacks. His size will be questioned.

Joshua Farmer is looking to redeem himself after Florida State crashed to a 2-10 season in 2024.

Landon Jackson has impressive size and could become a top 60 pick this off-season with a strong workouts.

Both Jah Joyner and Josaiah Stewart could become a pass-rush specialist as a rookie. Stewart, in particular, must overcome his size(6-1, 245).

Darius Alexander hopes to follow ex-Toledo teammate Quinyon Mitchell who had a big Senior Bowl week last year and was drafted first round by the Philadelphia Eagles with a strong showing this week.

American team features two players from two SEC schools that the Bears could double dip. Walter Nolen left Texas A&M in 2023 and had a very strong 2024 season in his only season at Ole Miss. He could become a top-15 pick by April. Jared Ivey is a huge defensive end that Allen would like, but he probably has a lower ceiling.

T.J. Sanders is a strong run defender, who still is developing as a pass rusher.

Kyle Kennard led the SEC with 11.5 sacks in 2024, and could be a third-down or situational pass rusher early in his career.

Omarr Norman-Lott is a wide-body DT with strong pass rush skills.

Deonte Walker is a massive player, who moves well for his size. But his 2024 season was not as good as the 2023 season. He needs a huge week.

RJ Oben has an NFL bloodline as his father, Roman Oben, was a former NFL offensive lineman. He is an older prospect whose ceiling could be low.

Shemar Stewart is a former 5-star recruit with impressive size but will need time to develop as a pass rusher.

Ozzy Trapilo is a tall right tackle, who can also play guard, which would suit the Bears.

Josh Conerly Jr. is a two-year starter at Oregon and some mock drafts have him going to the Bears already. He is not a massive player(6-4, 308), so it is interesting how he holds up and bigger and stronger players.

Jalen Rivers is a big, powerful interior guard whose medical history needs to be investigated.

Aireontae Esery is a massive prospect(6-6, 330), who has strong pass protection skills.

Anthony Belton is also a massive player(6-6, 336) who could use a huge Senior Bowl to move his stock.

Grey Zabel and Wyatt Milum are both excellent interior prospects that the Bears could draft using one of their second-round picks.

Marcus MBow is a tackle who could be moved inside because of his short arms.

Jonah Monheim was a teammate with Caleb Williams at USC with the ability to play all OL positions, but center could be his best position.

The star of this American group is right tackle Jonah Savaiinaea. He is big(6-5, 330) and powerful, but will be moved to guardbecause he lacks athleticism.

The American team also features three LSU starters. Garrett Dellinger is a three-year starter at left guard but is projected to be a backup in the NFL. Miles Frazier is a four-year starter with experience playing all positions but center. The Bears could use a versatile player like him even if he is seen as a backup. Emory Jones is an early-entry player who has three years of starter experience but needs a lot of work with his footwork.

Logan Brown is a tall, massive player(6-6, 315) with long arms and a thick build, who can stick to playing right tackle.

Carson Vinson played at a local HBCU and is tall and lanky. But he is more of a Day 3 development prospect at this point.

Armand Membou is a terrific tackle prospect whose size(6-3, 325) could make him a candidate to move inside.

Willie Lampkin is a center/guard prospect with 49 career starts but is listed at 5-11, 290. That would limit his fit.

Jackson Slater was a 2024 FCS All-American at Sacramento State with 42 out of 44 career starts at left guard. He is seen as a late-round pick, so the Bears could take a flier with a chance to develop him.
